Over the last few months, I've been making several accessory-related suggestion threads as apart of my Accessories o' Plenty series. In those threads, I suggested a bunch of ideas for new accessories and balancing changes for currently existing accessories. I personally love the accessory system and collecting new accessories are fun achievements for me, so I thought it would be a fun, little project to create a thread series based on new accessories.
Since I've been having so many ideas related to that, I decided it would be better to create a megathread that I constantly update rather than having a bunch of separate threads. It'll make everything easier to view and it'll be easier for me to update. This megathread will contain all my past ideas from my thread series as well as new ideas I come up with overtime.
Without further ado, here's the megathread.
Balancing Changes
These are the changes I'd make to the currently existing accessories. They are mostly related to balancing, but some qol will be here as well.
- Artifact of Power: when you have all other perfects, you can unlock an opal gemstone slot with a gemstone chamber
- Rarity won’t decrease if you don’t have a perfect opal
- Auto Recombobulator: let it recomb random items again, toggleable by right clicking it
- Having random items recomb'd was a neat feature for collectors and was just fun to mess around with
- The toggle would only affect recombing random items; it would still recomb gear drops regardless
- Bat Person accessories: ability works with unique bat pets in the pet menu even if it isn't equipped
- Bat Person accessories have incredibly niche uses and the only useful item they have synergy with is spirit sceptre. By letting it get buffs from a bat pet in your pet menu, the accessory still has general use
- Assuming new types of bat pets are added in the future (similar to how there are multiple horse pets), these accessories would indirectly be buffed slightly
- Dante Talisman: clicking on the Dante statue 1000 times opens a menu letting you donate 5mil coins in support of Dante's history, granting you the Dante Talisman
- The second line in its description is replaced with "Post-mortem. Rest in peace, our one true mayor." This shows that its different than the original talisman so the originals still keep value. These will not stack however (only 1 will give mp if both are put into your accessory bag)
- Allows players to get this again without ah
- You can open this menu again until you leave the lobby, in which case you need to redo the 1000 clicks
- Not buyable from Rusty; you can redo this process to buy the Dante Talisman again
- Coop-soulbound (but the originals will remain unsoulbound)
- Farming Talisman: change name to Farming Affinity Talisman
- For consistency with other affinity accessories
- Fire Talisman: common > uncommon
- With the nether being more difficult, both Fire and Lava Talismans should be uncommon
- Fish Affinity Talisman: rare > uncommon
- They relatively easy to get. Plus, by adding upgraded versions, it would end up with the same or higher rarity for a more fitting price and give more use to less used crafting mats
- Gravity Talisman: gives between +1 and +10 str and def the closer you are to the ground
- Lowers stats by 1 for each block above the ground (doesn't go below 1)
- Makes it more useful by more consistently giving stats
- Handy Blood Chalice: common > rare
- Other rarities are being nerfed, so it makes sense to have this rngesus drop be at least rare to compensate mp
- Haste Ring: when you have a higher level of haste, gives an extra +20 mining speed after breaking a block
- Most people already use pots, so this would keep haste ring useful even when you already have the haste effect
- Hegemony Artifact: counts for 3x the mp
- To make it more worth its price and rarity
- Hegemony Artifact: remove "in your accessory bag" from its description
- Accessories only work when in your accessory bag, so this extra text isn't needed
- Hunter accessories: buffed to give +5/10 combat wisdom and rarities to rare/epic
- This is because the price difference is a lot compared to red claw accessories. The bump in mp is balanced out with the red claw accessories nerf
- Mineral Talisman: rare > uncommon
- To better match its price and actual rarity since refined minerals are easy to get for most players regardless of game state
- New Year Cake Bag: when hp bonus is maxed out, upgrade rarity to rare
- Adds a little more benefit to completely filling the cake bag
- Odger's Diamond Tooth: can be starred up to 10 times, upgrading its rarity when 10*
- Uses the same mats as starring a piece of diamond hunter armor
- Stars also boost the scc, giving 2.4% total when 10*
- Considering the time it takes to get, I feel like you should be able to turn it into a mythic accessory
- Pandora's Box: when all challenges are completed, can be upgraded with a recomb'd recomb to turn into a divine accessory
- Divine accessories give 30 mp and can be enriched
- Personal Compactor: can open menu by right clicking in accessory bag
- Qol so you don't need to take it out of your bag each time to use it
- Personal Compactor: allow the following to be autocompacted
- T2+ slayer mats (like rev viscera)
- T2+ magmafish (silver to diamond)
- Ench shark fins
- Ench ancient claw
- Personal Deletor: can open menu by right clicking in accessory bag
- Qol so you don't need to take it out of your bag each time to use it
- Personal Deletor: works with items from ch chests
- Mainly for ascension ropes and compasses
- If you for some reason put gemstones in there, you'll still gain collection score, but they'll be deleted right after (this goes for anything else with a similar situation)
- Piggy Bank: works from accessory bag
- ability toggleable by right clicking it (toggled on by default)
- Pocket Expresso Machine: common > rare
- Same reason as Handy Blood Chalice
- Potion Affinity accessories: add second ability: increase god pot duration by 0.5/1/1.5%
- Gives potion affinity accessories more use (without being incredibly op) since most players don't brew pots for actual use
- Potion Affinity accessories: change name to Brewer's accessories
- For consistency, since there are other affinity accessories that all focus on increasing spd in specific islands
- Red Claw accessories: all bumped down 1 rarity
- Recomb'd artifacts will have their enrichments returned to Jerry
- This is because red claw accessories are relatively easy to get. The mp lost is made up with the Hunter accessory buffs
- Scarf's Grimoire: you can frag it by surrounding it with 16 scarf frags
- Fragging it gives a total +10% class exp and frag symbol, but doesn't affect rarity
- It wouldn't affect rarity because it's only a cheap/easy upgrade and mainly to make class exp somewhat easier to get
- Seal of the Family: can be rebought from Lucius if lost
- This goes for the rest of the accessory line and is updated when you complete each part of the quest
- You can rebuy them for 1m/4m/20m, double of what the price is originally
- Soulbound
- Vaccine Talisman: remove "when held" from its description
- Accessories only work when in your accessory bag, so this extra text isn't needed
- Wolf Paw: uncommon > rare
- For consistency with other race accessories
- Wood Affinity Talisman: uncommon > common
- For consistency with other affinity accessories
- Wolf Ring: rare > uncommon
- For consistency with other slayer accessories
- Wolf Ring: recipe unlocked at sven 1
- Yes it doesn't use anything from sven technically, but it makes sense considering other slayer-themed accessory upgradeds are unlocked through slayer
General changes
- Allow dungeon accessories to give extra mp while in dungeons
- Remove "Unique Effect" and "Ability" from the description of certain accessories
- For consistency; pretty sure this only applies to Feather, Potion Affinity, and Soulflow accessories
- Soulflow accessories' description should look similar to Pocket Espresso and Blood Chalice
- Remove excess description in accessories that only give stats
- Some 1-stat accessories have a description explaining the stat, but that's already done in the sb player profile
- Some 1-stat accessories don't have this description and that looks a lot cleaner imo, so other accessories should be made consistent with that
- This applies to Mineral Talisman, Healing accessories, and Survivor Cube

Idk much about farming, and everything related to the skill is bound to change with the new garden update coming out, but I thought the concept of a cornucopia item (similar to water orbs for fishing) was cool and wanted to make an accessory out of it. Crystalized Water
Most abilities that require you to be near water or snow are always active.
Common Accessory
1/350 chance to catch when ice fishing
This is for things like bby yeti's cold breeze and flying fish's water bender. The only thing that would be unaffected is diver armor's spd buff because it's insane (you'd still get perm water breathing tho). This was also thought of when turtle's ability required you to be near water, but i think it's still a cool thing to add.
Endermite Egg
Endermites spawned from Watchers and mining endstone no longer attack you.
Uncommon Accessory
- 1/3000 chance to drop from endermites spawned from mining endstone
- 1/1500 chance to drop from endermites spawned by watchers
- 1/1000 chance to drop from nest endermites
Endermites are annoying and drop nothing special, so this fixes both of those issues. Nest endermites will still attack you though
Everlasting Hoof
Gain 3% chance to find Trick or Treat chests and increases the chance of getting a treat by 5%.

- The 5% for a treat is additive, meaning you have an 80% chance to get a treat
So soul frags and spooky shards have more use, especially spooky shards. I doubt it'll make the price rise by a ton but it'll be something at least.
Failed Experiment
+1% ability dmg
Increases the chance to find higher tier books from superpairs by 3%.

Honestly idk the drop rates for books in the experiment table so i'm not completely sure how to balance this, but i want there to be more useful things from the experiment table

Reduces time spent on fire by 20%. Works in the Crimson Isles and with Flaming dungeon mobs.

It requires you to have the king talisman (though they're technically obtained differently). If you don't have it, you won't get the upgrade if you claim the comm milestone reward, but you'll still get the other rewards (similar to the dojo). You can go back to the comm milestone to claim it when you have the talisman in your inventory.
King Artifact
Gives +3% powder from commissions and +1% powder from all other sources.

By increase spawn rate, that means it'll decrease the time till monsters respawn. For example, if crypt ghouls respawn every 10s (idk if they really do but that's just for the example) and someone has a monster candle, crypt ghouls will now respawn every 9.9s. This stacks to a max of 20% reduction (if 20 people in your lobby have a monster candle) and crypt ghouls will now respawn every 8s. Basically it's the combat version of the farmer orb
Dusty Key
Lowers the number of picks needed to open a treasure chest in the Crystal Hollows by 1.

- 1/75 chance to drop from rare treasure chests
To make powder grinding every so slightly easier. When looking at the particles to unlock a treasure chest, you only need to do it 4 times (3 with powdered key) instead of 5.
Powdered Key

Lowers the number of picks needed to open a treasure chest in the Crystal Hollows by 2.
Also guarantees at least 1 powder drop in every treasure chest.

This is to give shark teeth more use by using a lot of them in bulk. After getting the few items added by Marina, you just don't need them anymore, so this should hopefully make shark fishing more relevant for things besides exp.

Holds Spooky Pies. Each unique Spooky Pie within this bag grants +1 int.

This accessory can be reforged at the Blacksmith, granting the stats of an armor reforge!

The reason it's a common accessory is so reforges only give the common stats and so the lack of mp is balanced out by the reforge. When recomb'd, it'll give the uncommon reforge stats. The only questionable thing imo is wise and smart giving so much int, but besides that, it seems like a cool idea and would be another expensive accessory taking millions out of the economy

Similar to Shark Jaw, when you right click it, it'll automatically add all ench sand cubes in your inv, max 40. This is to give more use to sand and act as a way to take a decent amount of it out of the economy

This is mainly to give use to cactus since it's really not used for a lot of things, if anything at all. The toggle is mainly for first/triple strike bugs, if this ends up breaking the enchants. If not, the toggle isn't needed.

Just to give some use to endstone since endstone sword is its only use and even then, it's pretty situational. It's supposed to be a small dmg boost to mobs like zealots and endermen to help new players in the end while also being useful for lategame players when trying to spawn enderslayer

Dungeon Accessories
These are accessories gained through various dungeon-related means.
Adaptive Charm
While in a dungeon, receive different stats based on your selected class.
- Berserk: +10 str, +3 atk spd
- Healer: +20 hp, +10 health regen
- Mage: +20 int, +3 ability dmg
- Tank: +20 def, +3 true def
- Archer: +10 cd, +3 cr

Right now, i'm pretty sure every floor has a useful drop except for f3. There's adaptive armor, but that's been outclassed by most other armors, even ones around the same part of the game. Adding something else to f3 that's more useful would give players more reason to grind it. You can also
surround it with 8 scarf fragsto multiple the class stats by 1.5x and add a frag symbol to its name

Hopefully this brings more use to the journal and gives players a reason to complete them all. It's a common accessory because of how easy it is to obtain despite it giving a good amount of stats later on. If things get too out of hand, assuming admins add more journals, they could add a cap to how much cd you get

Hopefully by scaling with secrets, new players realize early on that they should start learning secrets and help contribute more to the run. I want the requirements to take decently long to get because it's pretty cheap at the start and upgrading doesn't have any cost besides finding secrets

This took a lot more time than I expected because I spent a good amount of time reworking certain things, making slight changes and balances, etc. Now that everything is condensed into this one thread, I hope it'll be easier for people to see everything, as well as for me to make needed changes.
